Meditation

The goal of meditation is to focus and quiet your mind, eventually reaching a higher level of awareness and inner calm. It may come as a surprise to learn that you can meditate anywhere and at any time, allowing yourself to access a sense of tranquility and peace no matter what’s going on around you.

When I meditate I find a place where I can be alone for the time of amout I want to meditate. Sometimes I just need 5 minutes, other times I want 1 hour.

Its important to me that meditation is not complicated and filled with stress, so I either sit in a quiet and comfortable place, or I lay on my bed or sofa. Most importatn to me is to be alone. The light, sounds, smells, or looks of where I am, doesnt matter much. Sometimes I can even slip into a meditative state on the bus. As long as Im alone, that means that no one I knows is around, coz you practically are never alone on the bus.

So far on my meditation path Im still learning to quiet my mind. I still find it hard to let go. But as long as I practice I believe I will manage that too. Right now meditation is giving me peace and awareness, not so much inner calm.

But like yoga, I believe meditation is a path that never ends. I will always evolve myself and go further in my seeking.
